BRETT HILDER, CEOIn 1998 following a motorcycle crash, Brett attended a patient care assistant training course and then commenced work for an agency doing shifts primarily in hospitals in Perth. So he knows first hand what it feels like to be sitting in a training room on day one, going out on work experience on day one and then commencing his first shift as a nursing assistant on day one. Through this time, he was developing a training consultancy which focussed on productivity and time management issues and Success Fast-Track was born. Brett worked in this area both in Australia and overseas. He then spent much of 2000 working with his wife, Lynette a division one registered nurse developing a patient services assistant training course in response to a severe shortage of staff in this sector. The first course was delivered in Perth in August, 2001 with outstanding results. Brett, Lynette and a colleague of theirs, Jacquie provided all the services and delivered all the training and assessment and continued to do so over the subsequent courses. Brett drove expansion of Success Fast-Track's delivery of nursing assistant training into regional areas of Western Australia followed by provision of these courses into Victoria, New South Wales and then Queensland and South Australia. Brett's guiding principles centre on creating a positive and varied work environment for his staff, and providing an engaging and sophisticated training/assessment setting for students which is as enjoyable and challenging as possible. The final objective being quality nursing assistants good enough to care for his own parents and parents-in-law.
LYNETTE HILDER, Program CoordinatorIn 1986, Lynette was part of one of the last groups of hospital trained Registered Nurses at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital to graduate in Western Australia. After completing a broad ranging graduate program, she worked in a busy country hospital for three years before returning to Perth to concentrate on critical care nursing including emergency department, intensive care and coronary care roles in the large tertiary hospitals. Able to talk turkey with patients, family members, surgeons, other nurses and nursing assistants in both public and private hospitals, she quickly found herself in the postion of shift coordinator, trouble shooting the daily mix of challenges confronting her teams while still taking a patient load. Lynette provided on the job training for nurses working with her, particularly in her preferred area of coronary care. During this time she also coordinated and contributed much of the content on a set of patient education pamphlets designed for coronary care patients. In 2001, Lynette accepted a position as Lecturer on the registered nurse degree program at Edith Cowan University, Churchlands Campus, which she discovered a talent for. 2002 saw her commit herself full-time to working at Success Fast-Track, delivering training and assessment and coordinating with her colleagues in the health sector for the provision work experience to students. As the company grew, her role evolved and now concentrates on the strategic direction of the organisation plus troubleshooting issues as they arise throughout the country. Lynette believes in a strong focus on patient/resident wellbeing and employs a consultative, networks based approach on all aspects of training in the health sector.
CATHY HAINES, National Operations ManagerCathy coordinates the logistics and provides oversight on the training delivery and assessment of all courses run in Australia. She is also Success Fast-Track's RTO Compliance Officer and helps to fulfill our commitments as a Registered Training Organisation. The two areas of responsibility dovetail together to ensure compliance with all AQTF and training package requirements. A division one Registered Nurse, she has deep experience in a number of nursing specialities including infant intensive care. Down the track, she now finds herself in an influential role at the other end of the life journey. Between these years, Cathy developed an interest in training and assessment with a particular focus on the aged care sector. Like many others she has personal experience within her family of this area, but with the nurses insight. Joining us in 2007, Cathy moved from her previous training coordination role to become New South Wales State Manager and was instrumental in the successful setup of that branch. Since then, she has played a crucial part in our growth nationally. Cathy is analytical, hard working and has the classic nurses 'no-nonsense' approach to results and problem solving. She is also a skilled leader and dedicated team player. Success Fast-Track, students and our employers all gain a great deal from her dedication and commitment.
RUBY MILLER, State Manager VictoriaOne of the most knowledgeable division one Registered Nurses in the aged care sector, Ruby brings her considerable experience to Success Fast-Track and plays an integral part in the continuous improvement of the training and assessment we deliver. Ruby has extensive experience as a nurse in the aged care sector delivering advanced care to residents and acting as a resource person for nursing assistants and colleagues in a clinical capacity. She has also held senior administrative roles related to resident care including staff recruitment along with all the critical management issues associated with the running of an aged care facility. Quality assurance and staff training are two particular areas of interest and these are two of the key strengths she brings to her role with us. Another specific attribute she brings is her ongoing commitment to maintaining close contact with our employers in the aged care sector further enabling Success Fast-Track to respond to the changing needs of this industry. Ruby joined us in 2007 as a Branch Manager at Mount Waverley. After a re-structure in 2009, she was appointed State Manager, Victoria in recognition of her excellent skills and great commitment during even the most challenging times. Despite Victoria being hit with the terrible bushfires, the worst swine flu outbreaks in the country and of course the global financial crisis all at the same time, Ruby and her team have performed strongly for the benefit of all concerned. Ruby has earned great respect from the students that have passed through our doors especially in Victoria. Of course her positive impact has been felt throughout all the states we operate in.
MARIE YATES, National Accounts ManagerBefore Success Fast-Track had conducted its first aged care training course, Marie was providing bookkeeping services to the company. Things have changed a lot since then and the role now covers accounts management and technical support for all human resource matters. As the company has grown, Marie helped ensure that we have kept up with our statutory financial requirements as well as providing direction, training and oversight for bookkeeping data entry in each of our branches. Over recent years, she has provided valuable input on all non training matters providing an alternative point of view for the senior team members whose primary focus of course is aged care and training. Although inclined to work too hard without breaks, she has maintained her sense of humour and great loyalty to Success Fast-Track. Marie works in the background of the company and sometimes misses out on the great feedback we get from the students and the employers we work with. Nevertheless, her great work ethic is a key part of our success. Marie works as a contractor to Success Fast-Track which brings an extra layer of objectivity and independence to the accounts management role, not to mention making the job of our accountants considerably easier. There have been times when the pace of growth at Success Fast-Track has forced her increase her intake of high octane coffee by a factor of 3.1415926(xnormal), however she always manages to stare back into the eye of the tiger and get the job done. Marie brings commitment to detail, energy and great loyalty to our company. She is a great team player.
